Now within 12 years Green Bangla Agrovet Limited is a leading agricultural company in Bangladesh helping to improve food security by enabling millions of farmers to make better use of available resources. Through world class science and innovative crop solutions, our people are working to transform how crops are grown. We provide products and solutions to help farmers achieve food security for a growing population, sustainably. We work by looking at agriculture through the eyes of growers, and by applying world-class science to develop crop protection products and seeds. We established a pesticide factory in Dhamrai BSCIC Area in 2015.
Our innovations help farmers to overcome multiple challenges – from weeds, insects and disease, to the effects of heat and cold on crops. Whether they grow corn or rice, vegetables, farmers around the world trust Green Bangla Limited to help them produce healthy, premium crops and minimize the use of precious natural resources. The Crop Protection Products range comprises Insecticides for control of pests affecting food and cash crops, Fungicides against pest diseases and Herbicides for weed control, particularly in food crops. With our broad range of safe and efficient crop protection products, we improve crop yields and health in all stages of plant development.
Our insecticides and fungicides protect the crop from insects and disease, and improve plant vigor. Our herbicides control weeds which can reduce yields through competition for nutrients, water and light. Modern chemical technologies also help plants to reduce yield losses during periods of drought or heat.
Md. Riashat Habib
Deputy Managing Director at Green Bangla Agrovet Ltd. In 2017, Mr. Riashat Habib, elder son of Mr. Md. Habibur Rahman joined the company as an Executive Director. After his joining, the company’s total environment was changed by his personal outlook. As we know, Mr. Riashat completed his B.Sc. Engineering degree from Ahsanullah University of Science & Technology, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2012. After completion of his engineering degree he went to Australia for his M.Sc in Electric and Electronic Engineering (EEE). Then he again back to Bangladesh and joined his family business with his father. Now he is responsible for marketing department of the company. For his outstanding collaboration and teamwork Green Bangla Agrovet Ltd. achieved 100 crore sales target in 2021. For his this remarkable achievement in January 2022 he is promoted as Deputy Managing Director.
Md. Rafsan Habib
Executive DirectorIn 2025, Rafsan Habib, the youngest son of Kbd. Md. Habibur Rahman and Laila Arjumand Banu, became the Executive Director, holding an M.Sc in civil Engineering from Durham University of England, Before that, he completed his graduation from Islamic University of Technology, Bangladesh, in civil Engineering. Now he has joined the family business in Bangladesh. Hopefully he will bring significant changes to the company in the near future.
